Temilade Ashafa studied Apparel Design in the United States of America, earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2010. After which she moved to the United Kingdom and began her career as a designer for a couture company that dressed celebrities such as Taraji P Henson, Chrissy Teigen and Kelly Rowland.
She then went on to work with sustainable and niche luxury brands before working with the legendary international brand Burberry, where she worked intensely across Womens RTW, Runway and Accessories for over 3 years. Excluding her day to day tasks, she also worked on projects for Beyonce’s OTR2 tour and VIP requests for the likes of Madonna, Rosalia and Irina Shayk.
During this time she also earned a certificate from Harvard Business School after partaking in the CORe Program, which allowed her to learn the fundamentals of developing business strategy, essential accounting principles and interpreting analytics in order to solve various business problems.
Equipped with all the knowledge and skills over 11+ years in the industry, she decided to move to Nigeria in 2021 to set-up her brand consultancy business and help build the budding African fashion industry to internationally regulated standards, as well as using her network and vast understanding of the industry to the benefit of her fellow African creatives.
She has since been able to provide positive impact to various fashion businesses and the creative community, lending her voice and skills to various projects in order to further grow the Nigerian fashion industry as a whole.
